and makes noise . Pulled out and re-installed to make sure it was done properly , it was.
Low quality , defective unit

Blower was iffy from the start. Occasionally wouldn't start.. sometimes the fan speed would fall off even as the system was trying to move the speed higher till it would barely blow. Finally died about 1 1/2 years later with less than 3200 miles of use on it (my Mercedes 'weekend' car). I'm replacing under the warranty only because it is an easy 30 min job. If your blower is in a hard to replace location I definitely wouldn't buy this part.

Part fits perfectly. Replacing is a 2 hour job for the inexperienced. instructions can be found online by searching the various MB message boards.
(pro tip. use a magnetic screwdriver for upside down unscrewing and put the carpet back down when dealing with small screws. you will thank me later)
