There are many possible reasons why your vehicle is constantly overheating but in all likelihood, abnormal coolant flow has to do with it. One component you should check is the expansion tank. As you probably know, the tank is responsible for allowing air and antifreeze to safely expand due to rising pressure and temperature. If your existing tank has badly deteriorated, it may be the culprit in your vehicle's skyrocketing temperatures. To fix the problem, replace the tank right away with a high-quality Meyle Expansion Tank.
If the tank's in good condition, look in other parts for coolant leak. Radiator hoses, which are typically made of rubber, are known to develop leaks because they swell, harden and crack with age. If you've never replaced your hoses, chances are, they're already falling apart. Good thing you can always replace a bad hose with a heavy-duty Meyle Radiator Hose. Take note though that your vehicle has a lower and upper hose. Check both of these hoses and put the right replacement hose in place. Before replacing the hoses, drain coolant from the system, so you won't have to deal with bad and costly spills.Finally, another component you should inspect for damage is the cooling hose flange. Like radiator hoses, this flange may also develop tiny cracks over time. If your current flange doesn't fit snugly anymore, remove it and replace it with a Meyle Cooling Hose Flange. Again, it's very important that you drain the system before proceeding with the removal and installation. You can use a zip bag or another container to collect the spilling coolant, so you can reuse it later.
