Beginning in the 1989 model year, General Motors pledged to the industry an additional lineup of economy import market lineup of automobiles in the name of GEO, a brand of small automobiles that was soon to develop a string of cars comprising different Geo models of automobiles. Although Geo models strived in the industry with a brief history contribution, these cars appeared well on the roads with so much to give for. Geo vehicles started to appear in the industry with Geo Metro, Geo Spectrum, Geo Tracker, Geo Prizm, Geo Storm in the lineup.
Geo Metro is a subcompact hatchback available in several body styles such as the 4-door sedan, 2-door hatchback, and 2-door convertible. A subcompact Geo car under model name Spectrum lived only within one year in the industry that sported 1.5-liter 70 hp I4 engine. Geo brand also released the unique small sport-utility vehicle in 1990 employing the model name Geo Tracker and lasted production in 2004.
To be marketed in the United States as a small car, Geo Prizm penetrated the market with sedan and 5-door hatchback bodies powered by engines 4A-FE (with options: 4A-GE, 7A-FE), and 1ZZ-FE. Geo Storm, on the other hand, was a small 3-door hatchback that lived existence from 1990 to 1993. The public also enabled to consume Geo Storm's another body style of optional 2-door station wagon.
Because of the sad demise of Geo's brand in the automotive industry, automotive parts and accessories are even more needed in the market to continue the contributed legacy of these vehicles in the automotive industry. Fortunately, Geo aftermarket and OEM automotive manufacturers are abound so that Geo automotive parts are also provided in industry with wide scale number of availabilty for all Geo automobiles' maintenance and repair.
