Put off replacing the ragged stock controls for far too long. If the stock wiring is OK, then take the connectors off your replacements and use the stock stuff under the airbag. Do be careful...the cheap 'punch-down' method of wire attachment on the stock switches (as well as the replacements) does NOT lend itself to much abuse. I grabbed the body of the connector and pried the thing off with needle-nose pliers - it IS tight. As long as you don't yank on the wire it should go well. Too bad there isn't a replacement that dispenses with this terrible rubber switch design altogether. Far from one of Ford's better ideas.

Works better than the original. I barely have to press the buttons. The original one you really had to mash them.
