Chevrolet Tahoe Bug Shield Care 101

While it is great to have a panel that continuously take the bug slime for you, you should still consider exerting an effort to keep it clean and tidy. - Get a clean cloth or chamois to clean your bug shield every after drive.
It might seem impractical to some, but we would like to be on the precautionary side of things. - Look for cracks and chips on the entire assembly of your bug shield.

Over time, you might find it developing cracks and chips. These are signs that the material of your panel is beginning to lose its strength. You have to watch out for this. The sun has been enjoying making a crispy piece of plastic out of your panel. Before it becomes broken chips for good, you better find a replacement and get fresh new start.
- Remove the old panel and clean the surface beneath it.
Of course, as the law of physics dictates: no two things can occupy the same space at the same time. So before you being mounting a new bug shield on your Chevy Tahoe, make sure you clear the space for it. Remove the old panel carefully to avoid accidentally scratching the paint surface. Once the old panel is removed, clean the surface well. By the time you are done, your Tahoe should be ready for a new bug shield.
