It Read Well....
The big attraction was the price vs. other options.
In the end it was made to work by removing oversized diameter by polishing off excess material with emery cloth until a proper fit was attained. Lastly, the spiral drive gear and shaft had to be replaced with the original factory drive gear and shaft as the new gear had its teeth cut at the wrong angle to mesh with the drive gear in the transmission. Bottom line, it was an ok part for the money as long as you can perform the necessary modifications.

Don't buy this part
I purchased this part for my 99 toyota corolla. As previous reviewers stated, the part is too large to fit in the mounting hole on the transaxle. Grinding the steel shoulder down was too diffficult and would not have yielded good results for me. I was lucky that I was able to take the hall sensor component and attach it to my old VSS and get it working. It would have been too much of a hassle to try and return this part. Do not buy this part unless you want another piece of junk to throw away.
